About Me

Hi there!

I'm Kocinera--Koci for short. The first thing you should know about me is something that you've most likely deduced from this blog.

I love food.

In all its shapes, sizes, and funky colors.

I also love languages, books, photography, Dr. Who, and Korean dramas, but food's generally number one. Unless there's a Parks and Recreation marathon on tv...then food's number two.

At the moment, I'm a college student living in Texas. I used to study Business because it was practical. Now I study Spanish because it's fun. Like I said, languages are a real passion for me, so it came as no surprise that years of study, telenovelas, and pop latino would eventually lead me to choose Spanish as my major. I love how studying a foreign language opens up a whole new world, culture, and country(s) to its students. After graduation, I plan on graduate school and travelling all over the world, as well as learning several more languages. Currently, I'm working on Korean and loving it.

Update 8/26/13: I'm now a grad student!

Also, not to brag, but I'm a Level 1 certified Wilton Method cake decorator.

And, after a couple of years of blogging, I branched out into YouTube! I've made videos about yummy foods...

...and about learning languages.

Plus a few food hauls along the way.

The purpose of this blog is simple. To share my love of food with my readers and bring them along for the ride on my own culinary journey. Because anybody who loves food is just plain awesome.

Yep, I just called you awesome.

See? I told you we'd get along well.

If you want to hear even more of my gushing, you can follow Kocinera on Facebook, and/or follo on Twitter

Again, update: Let's hang out on Pinterest! And Instagram!

Peace and cookies,
Koci :)

Permissions, Disclaimers, and all that Jazz
All rants, opinions, witty wordisms, images, etc. belong to me, unless otherwise noted. Obviously if I'm displaying images like movie posters, screencaps, or videos they are not mine.*

*Except, of course, when the videos are mine, in which case they will be published by my YouTube page: Kocinera.

If you'd like to share a photo or original recipe of mine, all I ask is that you give me visible credit or a link. I once had a friend in junior high who took credit for my hard work and it made me very angry. I don't like being very angry--makes me rage-munch Cheetos--so please give credit where credit is due.
